 COOPER'S six points in Sunday's All-Ireland final saw him finish the year as the top scorer in the Senior Football Championship.

Despite having a poor season by his own usual standards, the Kerry star's 0-6 against Cork (all from frees) was just enough to see him edge out Donegal's Young Player of the Year prospect Michael Murphy Michael Murphy may refer to:

 on top spot.

Cooper finished with 1-34 with Murphy just behind on 0-36.

Donncha O'Connor was also in with a chance of topping the charts heading into Sunday's final but only managed three frees which left him trailing behind in fourth place, just behind Meath's Cian Ward.
