COOLEX ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION PROPOSAL

 IDAHO FALLS, Idaho, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Coolex today announced the proposed acquisition of Coolex by Amtech Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: ASYS). Alan Leask, president and chief executive officer, said, "This will give us the ability to continue to grow in the future as we have done in the past."
 Coolex reported revenue of $1,600,000 in 1992 and $2,300,000 for the first six months of 1993.
 Coolex manufactures patented multistage cooling systems that use no refrigeration or chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs). Coolex manufactures heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) that uses no CFCs which qualifies under recent legislation that will ban the use of chlorofluorocarbons by 1996.
 Leask went on to say, "This will in no way change our current plan for a public offering in the first quarter of 1994."
