BERRY COOL M&M'S New from M&M's are limited edition Razzberry Chocolate Candies in assorted size packages ranging from single 1.5-ounce to 18.6 ounces, priced at 55 cents to $4.39 each. This is the first time M&M's has added fruit flavoring -- in this case raspberry -- to the milk chocolate centers. Chocolate-raspberry devotees will no doubt enjoy these. Though some tasters thought raspberry M&M's sounded weird, they were pleasantly surprised once they sampled them, giving them a thumbs up. Look for them in bright pink packages through October. M&M's is also bringing back M&M's Dark Chocolate Peanut Candies permanently to join M&M's Dark Chocolate Candies, which have been in the line up due to consumer demand for the last year. They are made to order for dark chocolate-peanut fans -- and are delicious. MINI DESSERTS More and more cookies and desserts seem to come in portion-controlled packages these days. It's helpful if you want to know how many calories you're consuming. Betty Crocker has introduced Warm Delights Minis. The small size microwavable cakelike-pudding desserts are available in Chocolate Raspberry Decadence, Molten Chocolate Cake Molten chocolate cake is a popular dessert that combines the elements of a flourless chocolate cake (sometimes called a "chocolate decadence cake") and a soufflé. History The U.S. or Molten Caramel Cake flavors, two bowls, 150 calories (and 3.5 to 4.5 grams fat) each, are packed in a 2.46-ounce package. You simply turn the cake mix packet into the included bowl, mix in a little water and squeeze on pouches of either raspberry, caramel or fudge, depending on dessert flavor, then microwave, uncovered, on high power about 30 to 40 seconds. After 2 minutes of standing time, the desserts are ready. While they may appeal to some, portions are minuscule -- and aren't very tasty, especially if you're spoiled and used to homemade desserts. There are other better reduced calorie dessert choices. Suggested retail is $2.49 per two-pack. Among them are a new Jamoca Oreo ice cream swirled with a fudge ribbon and cookie pieces, an Oreo Layered Sundae, Jamoca Oreo Shake, Chocolate Oreo Shake, Oreo Cake and Oreo Cookie Pie.
