CONTRACTOR GETS $5.2 MILLION DEFENSE PROJECT.

Intertex General Contractors was awarded a $5.2 million contract to build a 40,000-square-foot structure for a Defense Commissary Agency The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) is an agency of the United States Department of Defense that manages more than 260 grocery establishments on U.S. military installations worldwide.  site in Nevada, the Valencia-based company announced Wednesday.

Work on the project - 20,000 square feet of new facilities and 20,000 square feet of renovations - is scheduled to begin in November and officials said it should be completed within 14 months.
