Day Celebration. The coloring contest is open to local students in the third and fourth grades. The winner will be announced at the Arbor Day Celebration on March 19 and will receive a tree planting at his/her school and a presentation given to the student's class by the Neighborhood Leaf-Out Coordinator. Local seventh- and eighth-grade students are invited to enter the essay contest. This year marks the 16th consecutive year that the city has held an Arbor Day event.
