The winner will be announced at the Arbor Day Celebration on March 19 and will receive a tree planting at his/her school and a presentation given to the student's class by the Neighborhood Leaf-Out Coordinator. Local seventh- and eighth-grade students are invited to enter the essay contest. This year marks the 16th consecutive year that the city has held an Arbor Day event.
