CONSOLIDATED VISCOUNT PURCHASES AN INTEREST IN TWO CLAIM BLOCKS.VANCOUVER, BC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 1995--CONSOLIDATED VISCOUNT (VSE See DOS/VSE. VSE - Virtual Storage Extended : CVR CVR See contingent value right (CVR). ) Mr. Len Harris reports, subject to regulatory approval, Consolidated Viscount Resources Ltd. has purchased a 100 percent interest in two claim blocks totalling 240 mineral claims (14,400 acres) from Jurassic Properties Ltd., a St. John's, Newfoundland corporation. Terms of the purchase are $20,000.00 cash upon approval and $20,000.00 cash within 60 days of closing, 25,000 shares in the capital of Consolidated Viscount upon closing and an additional 25,000 shares on or before the first anniversary. This brings Consolidated Viscount's total holdings in the area to 385 mineral claims or 23,100 acres. One block, consisting of 100 claims (6,000 acres), is located on the south shore of Tasisuak Lake, 50 km northwest of the Diamond Fields Voisey Bay discovery. The claims primarily cover Archean-Proterozoic gneiss gneiss (nīs), coarse-grained, imperfectly foliated, or layered, metamorphic rock. Gneiss is characterized by alternating light and dark bands differing in mineral composition and having coarser grains than those of schist. on the margin of a large intrusive that extends northwest from Voisey Bay. The gneiss is believed to be the sulpher source in the Voisey Bay deposit and probably marks the site of a major crustal boundary which tapped deep seated mineralized min·er·al·ize v. min·er·al·ized, min·er·al·iz·ing, min·er·al·iz·es v.tr. 1. The claims cover anomalous to elevated nickel-cobalt-copper lake sediment geochemical values which forms part of a larger anomalous area north and south of Tasisuak Lake. The claims also include a circular magnetic anomaly in an otherwise magnetically quiet gneiss terrain. Mafic dykes associated with east-west lineaments are mapped in the area. Gossan gos·san n. The second block consisting of 140 claims (8,400 acres) is located on the north and south shores of the Kingurutik River, approximately 80 km northwest of Diamond Fields Voisey Bay discovery zone. The claims cover part of the Nain Plutonic plu·ton·ic adj. Of deep igneous or magmatic origin: plutonic rocks. [From Latin Pl complex consisting of anorthosite anorthosite Type of igneous rock composed predominantly of calcium-rich feldspar. The claims contain four (4) Gossan zones in a geological setting similar to the Voisey Bay discovery. Two (2) of these Gossan areas display magnetic anomalies on regional government survey data. The Voisey Bay discovery itself was also mapped as a Gossan zone since the early 1980's. Both claim blocks offer good exploration targets for nickel-copper-cobalt. Plans are currently underway with at least two other companies to conduct an airborne geophysical survey on the Consolidated Viscount claims as well as claims held by other companies. Further exploration will be conducted as field conditions permit. -0- The Vancouver Stock Exchange Vancouver Stock Exchange (VSE) A securities and options exchange in Vancouver, British Columbia, (Canada), specializing in venture capital companies.
