CONSO PRODUCTS COMPANY QUARTERLY EARNINGS UP 63%; RECORD SALES INCREASE 27%.

) today announced quarterly earnings of $1.4 million for its fiscal quarter ended September 30, 1995, and earnings per share of $0.27, up 63% over last year's results. Earnings per share reflect a 3-for-2 stock split in the form of a 50% stock dividend paid on October 8, 1995.

Sales increased to a record level of $17.1 million, up 27% from last year's $13.5 million. Sales by Conso U.S. operations accounted for $12 million, or a 36.8% increase over the prior year, while the European European
