Four distinct generations, based on Pontiac Firebird coupe body styles were produced between 1967 and 2002.  had been stolen about 1:15 a.m. Wednesday from the 1200 block of Calle Tulipan in Thousand Oaks. Police spotted the vehicle being driven south on the Ventura Freeway about five minutes later.

Sheriff's deputies chased the vehicle until it exited the freeway at Chesebro Road, drove over a curb and got stuck in mud. Luis Garcia Gomez, 24, was arrested at the scene, police reported.
