CONEJO VALLEY BRIEFLY\Residents oppose Texaco proposal.

OAK PARK - A crowd of more than 150 people attended the Municipal Advisory Council meeting Tuesday Tuesday: see week.  to protest a proposed Texaco service station and to argue against raising the speed limit on a portion of Lindero Canyon Road, officials said.

MAC member Doug DOUG Dumb Old Utility Guy  Hewitson said Texaco officials gave a brief presentation asking for public input on the gas station proposed for the corner of Lindero Canyon and Kanan roads. About 15 residents voiced their opposition to the project, with no one expressing support. MAC members will place an item on the Feb. 22 agenda to discuss what development would be appropriate at the three-acre site.

 to make an exception and keep the Lindero Canyon Road speed limit at 35 miles per hour, or at the least post signs warning motorists of curves and blind stops on the roadway, Hewitson said.
