Each year the California Integrated Waste Management Board awards up to $3 million in grants to local governments for such programs to help reduce the amount of household hazardous waste illegally dumped at landfills. The city of Ventura received a grant of $90,000, and the city of Ojai and the county jointly received $113,000.

The money can be used for programs such as a permanent household hazardous waste facility, one-day collection events, expansion of existing collection events, and development of latex latex, emulsion of a polymer (e.g., rubber) in water (see colloid). Natural latexes are produced by a number of plants, are usually white in color, and often contain, in addition to rubber, various gums, oils, and waxes.  paint recycling partnerships with local paint stores. Typical household hazardous waste includes batteries, used motor oil, antifreeze antifreeze, substance added to a solvent to lower its freezing point. The solution formed is called an antifreeze mixture. Antifreeze is typically added to water in the cooling system of an internal-combustion engine so that it may be cooled below the freezing point , paints, pesticides and cleaning fluids.
