WESTLAKE VILLAGE - Candidates for the 38th Assembly District seat now held by Paula Boland will be guest speakers at the Westlake Village Chamber of Commerce's Governmental Affairs Committee meeting Wednesday.

The candidates include Republicans Tom McClintock Thomas Miller "Tom" McClintock (born July 10, 1956 in White Plains, New York) is a California State Senator. He ran for Governor of California in the 2003 California recall election of Gray Davis and finished third out of 135 candidates with 13.5% of the overall vote. , Steve Frank Steven A. Frank (born 1957) is a professor of biology at the University of California, Irvine. His areas of expertise are evolutionary genetics, host-parasite interactions and social evolution. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 1987. , Bob Larkin, Ross Hopkins, Peggy Freeman and Bob Hamlin, and Democrats David Ross David Ross refers to:
  • David Ross (Martial Artist), (born 1969), an American teacher and disciple of the late Lama Pai and Choy Lay Fut Grandmaster, Chan Tai San
 and Jon Lauritzen.

Boland cannot run again due to term limits.

Candidates will speak for five minutes about why they are running and will later take questions from chamber members.

Committee meetings are open to chamber members and their guests.

The meeting runs from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. and will be held in the Board Room in the chamber's office at 30893 Thousand Oaks Thousand Oaks, residential city (1990 pop. 104,352), Ventura co., S Calif., in a farm area; inc. 1964.
