NEWBURY PARK - More than 250 Conejo Valley The Conejo Valley is a region spanning both Southeastern Ventura County and Northwest Los Angeles County in Southern California, United States. Performances will be held simultaneously at the Westlake Chapel at 32165 Watergate Road in Westlake Village and the Newbury Park Stake Center at 35 S. Wendy Drive in Newbury Park beginning at 7 p.m. The young performers will travel between locations during the show.

The theme of the show is ``Once Upon a Dream.'' Each show will be judged on entertainment value, originality, costumes and scripting. The performances are free and the public is invited. For more information, call (805) 499-7631.

Speeders targeted at T.O. intersection

Special boys camp fund-raiser planned

OJAI - A barbecue is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 29 at Soule Park to raise money to send disadvantaged boys to Pyles Boys Camp, a rugged two-week adventure.

The camp teaches youths about responsibility to others and themselves, according to according to

THOUSAND OAKS - New officers and board members were elected recently by the Thousand Oaks Library Foundation.

School camera thefts prompt reward offer

 is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for stealing property from Newbury Park High School in April.

According to the Ventura County Sheriff's Department The Ventura County Sheriff's Department (VCSD) provides law enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, USA, as well as several cities within the county. The cities that VCSD serves are Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, and Thousand Oaks. , one or more suspects stole two video cameras from the school sometime between April 18 and 22. School officials announced the theft and said no questions would be asked if the cameras were returned. One camera was returned, but the other is missing.

Power lost briefly to 1,500 customers

SIMI VALLEY - About 1,500 Southern California Edison Southern California Edison (or SCE Corp), the largest subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE: EIX), is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 11 million people with electricity.  customers in west Simi Valley lost power Friday morning, officials said.

The outage occurred about 9:10 a.m. after construction crews in Wood Ranch installing a storm drain dug into an underground cable, said Edison spokeswoman Christina Bradley.
