Collette to appear in T.O. jazz concert

THOUSAND OAKS - The American Association American Association refers to one of the following professional baseball leagues:
  • American Association (19th century), active from 1882 to 1891.
  • American Association (20th century), active from 1902 to 1962 and 1969 to 1997.
 of University Women's June Jazz Concert will feature Buddy Collette Buddy Collette (born William Marcel Collette August 6, 1921 in Los Angeles, California) is an American tenor saxophonist, flautist, and clarinetist. He was highly influential in the West coast jazz and West Coast blues mediums, also collaborating with saxophonist Dexter Gordon,  and his band.

Collette is a master composer; a saxophone, flute and clarinet player; and one of the leading forces of jazz on the West Coast.

 is a national organization that promotes education and positive social change. The group is committed to the arts and humanities.

The concert is scheduled at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza's Forum Theatre, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. Call the Civic Arts Box Office or Ticketmaster for tickets.

The cost is $20.
