CONEJO VALLEY: BRIEFLY : MOMS CAN TONE BODIES WHILE WALKING BABIES.


AGOURA HILLS - The city's Department of Community Services is accepting registration for a new exercise class for mothers and infants.

``Strollercize'' will use the weight of the baby and the weight of the stroller to add resistance for a body-toning workout.

Beginning April 20, classes will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays at Forest Cove Park. The eight-week program costs $35 and will be taught by Sheri Leiken. For more information, call (818) 597-7361.

THOUSAND OAKS - Native Visions, a Southwestern shop at The Oaks mall, is sponsoring a series of artistry demonstrations April 19 through 22 in celebration of Earth Day 1996.

Robert Siow, a Hopi Hopi (hō`pē), group of the Pueblo, formerly called Moki, or Moqui. They speak the Hopi language, which belongs to the Uto-Aztecan branch of the Aztec-Tanoan linguistic stock, at all their pueblos except Hano, where the language belongs to the Tanoan branch of the Aztec-Tanoan linguistic stock (see Native American languages). kachina kachina (kəchē`nə), spirit of the invisible life forces of the Pueblo of North America. The kachinas, or kachinam, are impersonated by elaborately costumed masked male members of the tribes who visit Pueblo villages the first half of the year. carver, will give demonstrations in the store at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. April 19 and from 1 to 4 p.m. April 22.

Andy Alvarez will be in the store from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. April 19 and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. April 20 to show his skill as a jewelry designer.

Other guests over the weekend will include the Los Angeles Incas and wildlife photographer Dwight Andrews on April 20, the Cedar Wind Drummers, Apache flutist Ray Ortega, the Tenerio Singers and dancer Aaron Oldfield on April 21, and Graywolf artifacts and Raptor Rehab on April 22. THOUSAND OAKS - Ventura County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information in the burglary of a Thousand Oaks Boulevard business this month.

Various makes and models of cellular phones and pagers were taken from J & J Beepers, 2281 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., early on the morning of April 2. The suspect or suspects gained entry by smashing the front window.

Crime Stoppers is offering as much as $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and filing of a criminal complaint by the county District Attorney's Office. Anyone with information may phone (805) 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous and will be assigned a number for identification.

OXNARD - A driver was seriously injured Friday when his car collided with a truck on Highway 118.

James Wright, 56, of Oxnard was injured when he lost control of his vehicle and crossed into the path of an oncoming semitrailer truck on Highway 118 between Santa Clara Avenue and Rose Avenue about 7:20 a.m., the California Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the truck, Rudy Garcia, 26, of Oxnard was not injured, the CHP said. Wright's car spun into another car driven by Michael Weyandt, 19, of Simi Valley. Weyandt was not injured, the CHP said.
