SOURCE: Daily News Seniors can sign up for Moorpark event MOORPARK - The deadline to sign up for the Moorpark Senior Games is Oct. 2. The games will run from Oct. 31 through Nov. 8, and are scheduled to be broadcast on radio and televised on cable in four cities. The event is expected to bring together seniors 55 and older from all over Ventura and surrounding counties. For certain games, seniors will be matched up with schoolchildren schoolchildren school npl → écoliers mpl; (at secondary school) → collégiens mpl; lycéens mpl schoolchildren school as partners. Carol Ghens, Senior Center coordinator, will oversee 12 different events scheduled to take place in Simi Valley and Moorpark. Medals will be awarded to game contestants. At the end of the seven-day event, an awards barbecue is scheduled for Nov. 8 at Poindexter Park. The public celebration is free to those who took part in the games. Volunteers are now being recruited for the event.
