THOUSAND OAKS - Rick Wilson, former director of development for Curtis School in Los Angeles, has been named director of development at California Lutheran University Mission statement
The University's mission statement is as follows:

"California Lutheran University is a diverse, scholarly community dedicated to excellence in the liberal arts and professional studies.
.

Wilson, a resident of Camarillo, has managed and directed fund development operations for more than 20 years with work in the nonprofit arena since graduating from college.

Center to hold storytelling

NEWBURY PARK - The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area: see National Parks and Monuments (table).  and Friends of Satwiwa will hold a video storytelling from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center in Newbury Park.

Kat High will present a series of videos and lead a brief discussion after each. Presentations include ``The Creation of the World'' and ``A Matter of Respect'' at 10 a.m.; ``Why the Crow is Black'' and ``Apache Mountain Spirits'' at 11:30 a.m.; ``How the Fox Earned His Name,'' ``Reaffirmation and Discovery: The First Powwow on Hawaii'' and ``Why the Crow is Black,'' at 1:30 p.m.; and ``The Creation of the World,'' and ``Wiping the Tears of Seven Generations,'' at 3 p.m.

The center is at Rancho Sierra Vista/Satwiwa. The entrance to the park is at Potrero and Pinehill roads. The Culture Center is a quarter-mile walk from the parking lot. For more information, call (818) 597-9192.

Duplicate degree cost eliminated

VENTURA - Duplicate degree tuition has been eliminated throughout the California State University system California State University System, coordinating agency established in 1960 by the merger of individual California state colleges, now consisting of 23 campuses. , including the Ventura campus of California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. Golf tournament to aid area charity

THOUSAND OAKS - Many Mansions will raise money for its low-cost housing programs with a Sparky Anderson Golf Day tournament on July 26 at Los Robles Robles is a common surname in the Spanish language meaning oaks, and may refer to:
