Diabetes chapter to hold fund-raiser

VENTURA - The Ventura County Chapter of the American Diabetes Association The American Diabetes Association, or the ADA, is an American health organization providing diabetes research, information and advocacy. Founded in 1940, the American Diabetes Association conducts programs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, reaching hundreds of  will hold its annual Walktoberfest on Saturday along the beach area of Ventura.

Last year the event attracted 150 residents who helped raise $12,000 for the fight against diabetes. This year's goals are 200 walkers and $15,000.
