CONEJO VALLEY: BRIEFLY : 2 SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN DONUT INN ROBBERY.

Avocados, citrus, vegetables, strawberries, and nursery products are grown.  - Two men were arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbing a doughnut shop cashier at gunpoint, which occurred some 20 minutes before they were taken into custody, Ventura County Sheriff's Department The Ventura County Sheriff's Department (VCSD) provides law enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, USA, as well as several cities within the county. The cities that VCSD serves are Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, and Thousand Oaks.  officials said.

, of Oak Park, and Ryan Dafesh, of Woodland Hills, both 18, were arrested in the 3 a.m. robbery at the Donut Inn, 664 Lindero Canyon Road.

The clerk turned over an undetermined amount of cash after being threatened by two masked gunmen, Sgt. Frank O'Hanlon said.

Deputies arrived within minutes of the robbery and confronted the two suspects as they walked down Lindero Canyon Road, just north of Bowfield Street. The suspects' vehicle was parked behind the shopping center shopping center, a concentration of retail, service, and entertainment enterprises designed to serve the surrounding region. The modern shopping center differs from its antecedents—bazaars and marketplaces—in that the shops are usually amalgamated into  where the doughnut shop is located, officials said.

Mitchell and Dafesh were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery. They were in custody at the sheriff's East Valley Station on Tuesday and face arraignment A criminal proceeding at which the defendant is officially called before a court of competent jurisdiction, informed of the offense charged in the complaint, information, indictment, or other charging document, and asked to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty, or as otherwise permitted  in Ventura Municipal Court on Thursday, where bail will be set, O'Hanlon said.

Senior center plans trips to Arizona, Alps

Goebel Senior Adult Center in Thousand Oaks is scheduling tours. Travelers over the age of 50 can sign up now for summer trips to the Grand Canyon Grand Canyon, great gorge of the Colorado River, one of the natural wonders of the world; c.1 mi (1.6 km) deep, from 4 to 18 mi (6.4–29 km) wide, and 217 mi (349 km) long, NW Ariz.  or to the Alps. Registration will begin Friday.

The Grand Canyon trip is scheduled from May 12 through May 16 and will include Arizona stops in Prescott, Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon Oak Creek Canyon is a 12 mile (20 km) long river gorge located along the Mogollon Rim in northern Arizona located between the cities of Flagstaff and Sedona. The canyon is often described as a smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon because of its scenic beauty. . A steam train tour of the canyon's south rim and visit to Nevada's casinos are also scheduled. Cost for one person is $449, which covers transportation and accommodations.

The Alpine countries tour scheduled from June 16 through June 28 will include stops in Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Germany and Austria. Travelers will visit Zermatt, the Black Forest, Oberammergau and Salzburg. The $2,879 per person double occupancy price covers air fare, all transfers and some meals.
