CONDE NAST PUBLICATIONS EXECUTIVE HONORED BY POSTAL SERVICE

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Howard Schwartz, director, distribution and postal affairs, Conde Nast Publications Inc., New York, received the Postal Service's Industry Excellence Award recognizing superior achievement within the publishing industry in the implementation of Postal Service programs. The presentation was made by the Postal Service at the National Postal Forum which is being conducted in Minneapolis.
Schwartz manages an operation responsible for distribution of the publication's magazines, contributing more than $45 million in postal revenue. Schwartz, active in second class mail issues, uses only the Postal Service to effect delivery of the publications. He is an active participant in the Mailer's Technical Advisory Committee and works with the Postal Service to find ways to better serve second class mailers' needs.
Postal Forums provide opportunities for customers to express individual needs and exchange ideas with postal management, contributing constructively to the ongoing development of a more responsive, efficient mail service.
