 OF 500 FASTEST-GROWING PRIVATE COMPANIES IN AMERICA
 NEW YORK, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Concord Holding Corporation, one of the largest administrators of proprietary mutual funds with offices in six cities, has been named to the 1992 Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing privately held companies by Inc. magazine.
 In addition to its New York headquarters, Concord Holding Corp. has offices in Boston, Mass.; La Jolla, Calif.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; St. Petersburg, Fla., and Dublin, Ireland.
 Richard E. Stierwalt, chief executive officer and co-founder of Concord Holding Corp., said: "All of us at Concord are honored at having been named an Inc. 500 company, which is recognition of our outstanding growth in the five years since Concord was founded. It is an award I am proud to share with our employees and our clients who have made this success possible."
 According to Inc. Magazine, Concord had a 770 percent increase in sales from 1987 to 1991. Concord ranked No. 396 on this year's Inc. 500 List.
 Concord Holding Corp. is the parent company of the Concord Financial Group, Inc., which distributes and sponsors mutual funds. Concord Holding Corp. currently has nearly $24 billion in mutual fund assets under administration, representing over 50 mutual funds. Clients include Bank of America, The Bank of New York, Barnett Banks Trust Company, Chase Manhattan Bank, Covenant Investment Management, Inc., Credit Suisse/BEA Associates Inc., Paine Webber Incorporated and United States Trust Company.
 The 1992 Inc. 500 list appears in the magazine's October issue. The rankings are based on the percentage increase in sales from 1987 through 1991. To be eligible for the 1992 Inc. 500, a company must be independent and privately held. Companies had to show at least $100,000 but no more than $25 million in sales for 1987 and had to register a sales increase between 1990 and 1991. Regulated banks and utilities are not eligible.
