CONCERTGOERS FEEL THE BLUES.

Concertgoers can seek a refund or hold on to their tickets until April 2, when the King concert has been rescheduled, theater Director Tom Mitze said Monday.

The theater at the Civic Arts Plaza resorted to back-up generators, which powered emergency lights in the hallway and stairs so people could exit.

``There was no power to run the sound system or the theatrical lighting system,'' Mitze said. ``We were trying to find out what was going on. We had hoped the power would come back on.''

The outage lasted from 7:11 until 8:36 p.m., but the power went out again at 9:11 p.m., said Rudy Gonzales, regional manager with Southern California Edison Southern California Edison (or SCE Corp), the largest subsidiary of Edison International (NYSE: EIX), is the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 11 million people with electricity.  Co.

``It was a problem in the underground area,'' he said. ``For a variety of reasons, the cable in the ground will deteriorate and cause an outage.''

Gonzales said causes for the deterioration include such problems as rodents gnawing on the cables, corrosion from the rain and tree root intrusion.

The initial outage affected 913 mostly commercial customers on Thousand Oaks Boulevard between Conejo School and Hodencamp roads.
