CONCERT TO RAISE FUNDS FOR 2 CHARITIES.

CANYON COUNTRY - One of the biggest events yet of the burgeoning Santa Clarita Valley music scene is scheduled today in Canyon Country.

The Command Audio second annual Summer Concert will start at 12:30 p.m., featuring 14 bands on two stages.

Lombardi Management LLC/The Aegean Group, Command Audio Partners LLC and Crystal Sound are behind the daylong concert, a benefit for two charities.

Admission is free and the proceeds from the sale of a compilation CD of local bands titled ``661'' and other merchandise for sale at the show will be donated to the Torrance Memorial Burn Center and the Victims of Violent Crimes Charity, run through the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.

The show will consist of two stages, one outdoors in the parking lot of Command Audio, 26846 Oak Ave., and the other inside the newly built soundstage that in a month will be opened as the valley's newest teen nightclub.

Command Audio recording engineer and producer Rick Altschuler, along with Dee Grant, have masterminded an entertainment facility that includes a multitrack recording studio, rehearsal rooms and soon the teen club with its large raised stage, elaborate lighting and sound system and dance - and mosh pit - floor.

Altschuler's son, Robby, and Grant's son, Randal, have been working overtime to make the families' dream come true. In association with Command Audio and sharing office space is Linda Lombardi of Lombardi Management who manages several of the up and coming bands of the Santa Clarita music scene.

Anthony Cristi handles Lombardi Management's business affairs while intern Crystal Grant works toward management.

Melissa Albrent of Lombardi manages the careers of local favorites Neversick, Th3rd Party and Fightmusic, which, along with Weedeater, Dimtribe, Flashpoint, All or Nothing, In Denial, Pump, Fractional, New Union, B9, Rue, Pale New Dawn and The Second String will play today.

There also will be food, product booths, a dunk tank and raffles with all vendors donating a percentage of their proceeds to the charities. Another charity event is being organized by Command Audio and Lombardi Management to be held at the House Of Blues in Hollywood.
