CONCERT STUDIED TO BENEFIT SHERIFF'S STATION.

Palmdale city officials are thinking about putting up $100,200 in taxpayers' money to underwrite To insure; to sell an issue of stocks and bonds or to guarantee the purchase of unsold stocks and bonds after a public issue.

The word underwrite has two meanings.
 a concert aimed at raising money for local law enforcement.

 is set for June 28 at Marie Kerr Park, located at Avenue P and 30th Street West. The event would begin with a dinner for 500 held inside a large tent and would be followed by a concert in the park.

Plans call for charging $75 per person for the concert and dinner. For those not attending the dinner, concert tickets will be available from $20 to $35 per person.

Organizers hope about 4,000 people will attend the concert.
