In 1989, McClimon became region manager in Chicago, and subsequently directed the strategic expansion of CCX's presence in the Chicagoland and western Indiana markets. In 1993 he was promoted to vice president of national sales for Con-Way Transportation Services. He was promoted to CCX vice president of sales in 1997. McClimon is a graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, where he earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. He is a member of the Council of Logistics Management. Richard V. Palazzo, president and chief executive officer of Con-Way Central Express, announced the appointment of Bruce Moss to the position of vice president, sales.
