CON-SPACE Opens Europe.

RICHMOND, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 1997-- CON-SPACE (VSE CCB. ) Mr. Terence A. Ibbetson, President, CON-SPACE COMMUNICATIONS LTD., announced today that the Company has concluded arrangements with Safety Concepts and Technologies (SCT) a division of Lynx Trading Company (Schweiz) based in Switzerland, to act as the CON-SPACE agent for Europe and to establish a distribution network for the company's products throughout the entire Union of European Countries (EU).

"This is a major coup," said Ibbetson, adding, "we have been preparing for entry into the European market since day one when we designed our equipment to meet European Intrinsic Safe Approvals. We tested the market for almost two years through our UK Distributor and based on this experience, we were able to develop a suitable plan which was then fine tuned with the help of the people at SCT." This arrangement calls for distributors to be established in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Great Britain and Ireland are already covered. This arrangement also covers a few non EU countries.

SCT is made up of extremely experienced personnel that specialize in safety equipment for the European market. They already service a European-wide distribution network to which they will introduce CON-SPACE products on a planned basis during the upcoming months. "We have quality products, European approvals, and now we have SCT, an organization we know will do exceptionally well," concluded Ibbetson. The market potential for CON-SPACE products throughout Europe exceeds US$1 billion.
