COMSYS Selects Charter Members for Supplier Diversity Mentorship Program.

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2003

COMSYS Information Technology Services Inc., a leading national provider of information technology staffing, services and solutions, has selected six small-business owners as charter members of the COMSYS Supplier Diversity Mentorship program. The group convened at the inaugural CEO Roundtable today in Houston to outline the roles and expectations of participants in the program going forward.

Mentorship program participants addressed various topics including capitalizing on market conditions, finding new ways to attract business, developing effective delivery strategies, sales opportunities for collaboration and profit growth.

COMSYS Branch Directors nationwide recommended the six members based on their compatibility with COMSYS' core competencies, market and business goals. The participants are high achievers with diverse and extensive backgrounds across technology, engineering and business. They also are owners of companies that are 8(A) certified as small and disadvantaged businesses.

President and CEO Mike Willis said, "Mentoring is an extension of what COMSYS has always believed in. It is our hope that the program will expand our exposure in the technical community while at the same time develop positive relationships with compatible strategic partners."

Anthony Rhem is senior partner at A.J. Rhem & Associates, a consulting firm focusing on artificial intelligence and information engineering with offices in Chicago and Washington, D.C. Rhem is a published author, instructor and seminar presenter with over 19 years' experience in information systems.

Pamela McCauley-Bell, Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert and author in industrial engineering, is president and CEO of Tech Solutions (TSI). TSI maintains offices in Orlando and Albuquerque, N.M. and provides engineering and technical support to government and commercial clients. Dr. McCauley-Bell leads TSI with extensive industry, government and academic experience. She is also a tenured faculty member at the University of Central Florida and previously held a faculty position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

David Phelps is president and CEO of Merlin Technical Solutions, a veteran-owned technical solutions company he also founded. Phelps' leadership has been instrumental in the company's expansion to Denver, San Jose, Sacramento and McLean, Va. His project experience in the government sector spans over 15 years with key successes in satellite operations.

Mike Castillo founded Houston-based Castillo & Associates applying his knowledge of network infrastructure and operations, as well as telecommunications. Castillo is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Project Management Institute and is a trusted advisor on global engineering projects.

Morris Brown is founder and CEO of Omnitec Solutions, a technology services firm in Bethesda, Md., providing engineering, management and information technology solutions to commercial and government clients. Formerly a technical consultant, Brown has an extensive background in telecommunications and operating systems.

Laura Grindler launched SourceLink, an IT consulting firm in Chicago, after 10 years in sales and management. Grindler has received numerous awards for sales achievements and has developed a successful practice combining business experience with technical systems expertise.
