COMPUTER NETWORK TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION CLOSES ON STOCK OFFERING

 MAPLE GROVE, Minn., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Computer Network Technology Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: CMNT)(CNT) announced today that the underwriters of its recent public offering of common stock have exercised their right to acquire an additional 451,420 shares from CNT at a price of $7.125 per share to the public. The underwriters of the offering were Piper Jaffray Inc. and Cowen & Company.
 CNT intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including additions to working capital, the continued development of products and services, expansion of facilities, and possible acquisitions of businesses, products, or technologies complementary to CNT's business.
 Computer Network Technology Corporation, a leader in the channel networking industry, develops, manufactures, and markets high-speed channel networking systems.
