FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 21, 1995--

Televised Windows 95 Launch in All Stores

Computer City, North America's pre-eminent computer superstore retailer, will extend its regular store hours to meet consumer demand for the new Microsoft Windows See Windows.

Computer City(R) stores will open on Wednesday, August 23, at 9 a.m., and will remain open until 2 a.m. on August 24. This will allow consumers to purchase Windows 95 at midnight, and to register for hourly door prizes.

All Computer City locations will re-open on Thursday, August 24, at 7 a.m. for continued Windows 95 sales. Microsoft representatives will be present in the store to provide demonstrations during the two-day product launch.

Computer City will also offer a Windows 95 Bonus Pack filled with hundreds of dollars of coupons, plus a special America Online See AOL.  and USA Today USA Today

Customers may clip coupons from the Computer City ad in their local paper to obtain a "No Hassle Reservation" for Windows 95. Additionally, customers choosing to purchase Windows 95 from Computer City and sign-up for MCI (1) (Media Control Interface) A high-level programming interface from Microsoft and IBM for controlling multimedia devices. It provides commands and functions to open, play and close the device.
