COMPUTER CITY ANNOUNCES JUNE OPENINGS; Company Will Test First "Computer City in Incredible Universe" Concept.


FORT WORTH, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- June 4, 1996-- Computer City will add two new SuperCenter locations during June and test its first "Computer City in Incredible Universe" concept, bringing the total store count to 104 locations throughout North America North America, third largest continent (1990 est. pop. 365,000,000), c.9,400,000 sq mi (24,346,000 sq km), the northern of the two continents of the Western Hemisphere.  and Europe.

New SuperCenters will open in Scarsdale, N.Y., on June 6, and Princeton, N.J., on June 26. Beginning June 12, the "Computer City in Incredible Universe" concept will be tested at the Incredible Universe store in the SuperMall of the Great Northwest, Auburn, Wash. The store-within-a-store concept features a broader selection of computer-related products consolidated into one area of Incredible Universe.

"We believe this concept will give Incredible Universe guests a broader selection of computer hardware and software products, and provide another convenient location for Computer City shoppers," said Computer City President Matt Howard.

Computer City recently announced a number of service-oriented programs aimed at providing customers increased service and support. The 110 percent price guarantee allows Computer City to match advertised prices of other retailers on any in-stock item it carries. If the item is advertised elsewhere at a lower price within 30 days of purchase, Computer City will refund 110 percent of the difference. Additional programs include delivery and set-up of any computer system purchased at Computer City for $79.99, 90 days of unlimited phone support for $39.95 (with the purchase of a new computer system), and installation and testing of most hardware and software upgrades.

Computer City's Software Training program includes more than 130 different classes. Taught by professional instructors, each class is 100 percent satisfaction guaranteed Satisfaction Guaranteed may refer to:

. Students learn on state-of-the-art hardware with one person per PC.
