COMPOSURE, ELLOLUV BATTLE ONCE MORE.

Byline: Jerry Antonucci Special to the Daily News

ARCADIA - The $300,000 Santa Anita Oaks Santa Anita Oaks is an American Grade I Thoroughbred horse race held annually in mid March at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Open to three-year-old fillies willing to race 8.5 furlongs (1 1/16 miles) on the dirt, it currently offers a purse of $300,000.  this afternoon has all the makings of a classic rematch REMATCH Cardiology Clinical trials–Randomized Evaluation of Mechanical Assistance Therapy as an alternative in Congestive Heart failure–related to use of a portable, electric left ventricular-assist system–LVAS–eg, HeartMate®  between two talented 3-year-old fillies, Composure and Elloluv.

In round one of their personal duel, Elloluv pulled off a 30-1 stunner stunner

device used in abattoirs to stun an animal so that it is unconscious when it is bled out.

on Dec. 14, beating the Bob Baffert-trained Composure by four lengths in the 1 1/16-mile race.

In round two, Composure, who stumbled at the start, avenged the loss by posting a neck victory over the front-running Elloluv in the Las Virgnes Stakes on Feb. 9 at a mile.

For round three today, Composure, the 3-5 favorite, drew the rail, and Elloluv, the 7-5 second choice, will be placed in the No. 4 stall. Long Term Wish, Harbor Blues and Go For Glamour complete the quintet.

``The way it's playing out now, we'll probably see ourselves landing on the lead again,'' said Elloluv's trainer, Craig Dollase. ``But we have equal weights this time, and that might have made the difference last time.''

In the Las Virgnes, Elloluv carried 122 pounds, two more than Composure. Today both will go off at 117.
