COMPLIANCEWARE SOFTWARE SAVES TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.

CompliSource, Acton, Mass., which simplified the practice of compliance law by compiling regulatory information for the entire United States on the Internet, has augmented its database with consumer goods

 laws from every state.

The database now has two new modules - for unsecured lending and consumer goods financing - that enhance the already enormous database that is constantly updated by lawyers and compliance experts to keep corporate attorneys up to date on the more than 50,000 compliance statutes and regulations across the country. The newest sections of the database organize the laws governing consumer goods financing and unsecured lending into interpretive summaries covering key areas, such as debt collection, repossession and credit reporting.

"These new components of our database are part of our ongoing commitment to providing companies and their attorneys with the most comprehensive source for compliance regulations," said Roger Gallo, CompliSource's president and chief executive officer. "The regulations governing unsecured lending and consumer goods financing are extraordinarily complex. Our database frees up attorneys to focus on the practice of the law - not on the research behind it."

CompliSource's database gives attorneys and compliance officers online access to state-by-state compliance information at any time. The database provides complete and detailed analysis in property and casualty insurance; workers' compensation; first and second mortgage and home equity; motor vehicle financing; watercraft financing; unsecured financing; student loans; debt collector licensing and consumer goods financing.

Unlike other compliance products, the electronic databases, which are available online and on CD-ROM, provide summaries of trends and analysis of the laws and regulations affecting the financial and insurance industries. A proprietary Search Wizard offers quick access to regulations and comparisons from one state to the next.

Companies using the ComplianceWare software can save tens of thousands of dollars. The system, which covers all 50 states plus Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, is available with an annual subscription. Customers include Nissan Motor Corp., Isuzu Motors Ltd., Wells Fargo & Co., Prudential and Zurich insurance companies.
