THE Bob White Memorial open shore competition, held last Sunday, had an entry of 41 seniors and 10 juniors, of whom 11 weighed in 11 cod, three wrasse wrasse (răs), common name for a member of the large family Labridae, brilliantly colored fishes found among rocks and kelp in tropical seas. , two coalfish and two flounders.

Result: 1 A Grief (five fish for 12lb 3 3/4 oz), 2 B Tweddle (three fish, 4lb 2 ' oz), 3 M Heslop (one fish, 2lb 10 ' oz). LONGBENTON and Seaton Burn Seaton Burn refers to:
  • The Seaton Burn, a stream that flows through South-Eastern Northumberland and reaches the North Sea at Seaton Sluice, after running through Holywell Dene;
 SAC held a club competition on Tynemouth Pier. The winner was Dave Woods, who used a cocktail of ragworm and lugworm to take 11lb 4oz of flounders and whiting.
