COMPAQ SELECTS TI PROGRAMMABLE DSP-BASED ADSL TECHNOLOGY FOR NEW PRESARIO INTERNET PCs.

The announcement also advances Compaq's goal to offer consumers a choice of high-speed Internet services and premier performance on a Presario Internet PC. For TI, Compaq's decision to use DSP-based technology in their PCs validates the company's efforts to deliver programmable DSP, analog and software technologies that enable the end-to-end broadband transmission of toll-quality voice, video and data.
