The Pacific Supreme smoked salmon was distributed in only a few retail stores in Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon and Washington, but Rader said the company removed all lots of the produce from all store shelves.

Symptoms for healthy individuals stricken by the bacteria include fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea. It can also cause problems for pregnant women.

Consumers who purchased Pacific Supreme brand smoked salmon may return the product to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.
