The youngest son of King Æthelwulf, he was sent in 853 to Rome, where the pope gave him the title of Roman consul.
Booth Jr. resigned this week from his post as chairman of the board of directors of the hair care products distributor. Booth will reportedly continue with the company in an advisory role. The company said there was no direct link between Booth's resignation and the withdrawal of an offer by Dallas-based Millennia Inc. for the firm.
