COMMUNITY TURNS OUT FOR SYLMAR PARADE.

 parade began at 11 a.m. at Sylmar Park and wrapped along Borden Avenue, down Foothill Boulevard The following streets are named Foothill Boulevard:
  • Foothill Boulevard (Southern California)
  • Foothill Boulevard (East Bay, California)
 and to Gladstone Avenue. The parade ended with a celebration at the park, where awards were handed out and food was served.

``We had fun,'' said Mary Gallardo, who was a passenger in the Friends of El Cariso Park vehicle entered in the parade. ``It seemed like it went really well.''

Dignitaries in the parade included City Councilman Richard Alarcon, whose district includes Sylmar, and Capt. Ron Bergmann of the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Police Department's Foothill station.

The parade is sponsored by the chamber of commerce.
