NCC women take on

Cascade College at home

The Northwest Christian College women's club basketball team has four remaining games entering February. The first is 5:30 p.m. Tuesday against Portland's Cascade College, the team that NCC beat 54-41 in its season opener. NCC has since compiled a 5-10 record following Friday's 105-27 win at Puget Sound Christian, while Cascade is 1-20 with a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, NCC will play Simpson College at Redding, Calif., and next Monday will make up the Jan. 9 snow-postponement with Concordia at the Morse Event Center. All three NCC games this coming week are doubleheaders, with the men playing at 7:30 p.m.

Last Tuesday the Crusader women's three-game win streak was stopped 65-45 by Warner Pacific College at the Morse Event Center. An 11-0 Knights run cost NCC the lead that it never regained. Sophomore Robin McMahon from Monroe led NCC with 14 points, and recent addition Liz Rizza, a freshman from South Eugene, added 6 points.
