Such was the high standard of many of the local competitors that they have been further honoured by booking their places in the World Age Group Championships in Eindhoven, Holland, later this month. To qualify for the British National Trampolining Championships athletes had to prove themselves in rigorous and demanding competitions, triumphing over thousands of bouncers who compete in the UK in this rapidly growing sport. More than 40 different clubs from all over the country competed in this year's Championships. The City of Liverpool TC dominated the Under-13 Girls' final, taking four of the top 10 positions out of the 32 contestants. It was a very close and exciting contest with Zoe Brookes coming second by only 0.1, with team-mate Nicole Short finishing fourth with less than a two-point margin. Sarah Littler (Birkenhead TC) also made the final, coming ninth in the U15 Girls, with Emily Steen (Propulsion) coming 17th, Laura Clark (Birkenhead) 32nd and Chloe Haldon (Propulsion) coming 42nd. Another close-fought final was the U15 Boys with Steven Williams (City of Liverpool TC) fifth and Bradley Hampson (City of Liverpool TC) coming ninth.
