COMMUNITY NEWS WELLS FARGO GIVES $1,000 EACH TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.


Wells Fargo donated $1,000 apiece to nonprofit organizations during its annual Community Partners Breakfast at the Braemar Country Club. The managers from each Wells Fargo branch in the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

Valley, southern California, U.S. Northwest of central Los Angeles, the valley is bounded by the San Gabriel, Santa Susana, and Santa Monica mountains and the Simi Hills.
 picked the organization they wanted to benefit.

Organizations receiving the grants included:

Aish Tamid of Los Angeles, Atwater Avenue Elementary School, Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Research Institute, Chaminade College Preparatory 7/8 Athletic Department, Charlotte & Elise Merdinian Armenian School, Children's Hunger Fund, Davidian/Mariamian Educational Foundation, East Valley Trojans Sports Club Inc., El Camino Real El Camino Real (Spanish for The Royal Road or The King's Highway) was the name of a series of pre-automobile highways linking the various New World colonies of Spain:

The American Cancer Society American Cancer Society,
n.pr established in 1913, this national volunteer-based health organization is committed to the elimination of cancer through prevention and treatment and to diminishing cancer suffering through advocacy, scholarship, research,
 gave Northridge resident Charles Smith the organization's annual Capitol Dome Award.

Smith is a partner at the law firm Towle, Denison, Smith and Tavera, president of the Coalition for a Healthy California and an anti-smoking activist.

The American Cancer Society established the Capitol Dome Award in 1994 to recognize one person from each of its 14 divisions who's played a leadership role in the group's efforts.
