COMMUNITY NEWS VALLEY GLEN COUNCIL SEEKING NEW LOGO.


The Greater Valley Glen Council is holding a logo design competition open to high school and college students who study, live or work in the Valley Glen area.

City Councilwoman Wendy Greuel Wendy Greuel is President Pro Tempore of the Los Angeles City Council representing the 2nd District. Greuel was elected in 2002 to fill the remainder of the term of Councilman Joel Wachs. She was elected in her own right in 2003 and reelected in 2007.  will present the winner with a certificate of achievement.

Students from Thousand Oaks High School Thousand Oaks High School is a high school established in 1962 and located in Thousand Oaks, California. It is a California Distinguished School, and offers curriculum at all levels for Thousand Oaks students. The mascot is the lancer.  won six first- and second-place trophies at the Miss Dance Drill National dance competition in Irvine earlier this month. The team won first place in the small lyrical and large hip-hop categories. They also took second in both small and medium jazz. As soloists, Sara Stark won in the junior category and Mariah Murphy in the freshman category. The champion team will perform May 5 in the Thousand Oaks High gym.
