HomeAid Los Angeles/Ventura named Casa Pacifica its Care Provider of the Year.

Camarillo-based Casa Pacifica is a crisis care and residential treatment facility for abused, neglected or at-risk children in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

HomeAid is a national nonprofit organization that builds and renovates shelters for the homeless.

Along with the Jewish Home for the Aging and Tender Life, Casa Pacifica was nominated for the honor because of its dedication to helping children.

Actor Bernard Bragg recently announced that he plans to bequeath To dispose of Personal Property owned by a decedent at the time of death as a gift under the provisions of the decedent's will.

The money will be used to create the Bernard Bragg Deaf Theater, Signed Arts and Deaf Cinema Endowment.

Bragg, 77, is internationally recognized as a leader in the deaf entertainment community and has co-starred in TV shows and movies including ``And Your Name is Jonah'' in 1979 with James Woods and Sally Struthers.

He has also taught American Sign Language/deaf theater courses at CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge  and has directed numerous plays at the university.
