COMMUNITY MEDICAL TRANSPORT ANNOUNCES RECORD FIRST QUARTER RESULTS; Company Signs Letter of Intent for Fourth Acquisition.

YONKERS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1995--Community Medical Transport, Inc. (Nasdaq:CMTI), a provider of medical transportation services in the New York metropolitan area, today reported unaudited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 1995.

Revenues for the first quarter of 1995 increased 47% to a record $1,205,000 from $819,000 in the same period last year. Net income rose at an even faster rate, up 55.3% to $118,000 or $.04 per share from $76,000 or $.04 per share (pro forma) in the comparable period of 1994. There were 50.9% more shares outstanding in the first quarter of 1995 due to the Company's October 1994 initial public offering.

The increase in revenues in the first quarter of 1995 is primarily due to the build-up of business by the Company's First Help ambulance subsidiary, which commenced operations in February 1994, and an increase in services to existing customers by the Company's Community Ambulette Service subsidiary.

Community Medical also announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire selected assets of an ambulette company based in New York, New York. In connection with the acquisition, Community Medical will be entering into contracts with the customers of the seller. Company believes that its intended acquisition had revenues in excess of $1.5 million in 1994.
