Monthly senior men's breakfast scheduled

SPRINGFIELD Springfield.

1 City (1990 pop. 105,227), state capital and seat of Sangamon co., central Ill., on the Sangamon River; settled 1818, inc. as a city 1840.
 - Willamalane's Senior Men's Breakfast Group will host a breakfast at 7:45 a.m. Thursday at the senior center, 215 West C St., Springfield.

All senior men can attend. The cost is $2.50 per person. The hot breakfast includes juice, tea and coffee.

The group meets the third Thursday of the month. For information, call Trish Phetteplace at 736-4444.

Julie Daniel, executive director of BRING Recycling, will be the guest speaker at the League of Women Voters League of Women Voters, voluntary public service organization of U.S. citizens. Organized in 1920 in Chicago as an outgrowth of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, it had as its original nucleus the leaders of the latter organization.  of Lane County's Third Thursday meeting this week.

,' aims to get people thinking about recycling in a new way. Among the questions she will ask: Is recycling an excuse for consumption? How important is recycling? What does it accomplish? How does it fit into our lives? And what really happens to all those things we throw into our recycling carts?
