COMMONWEALTH ALUMINUM NAMES DONALD L. MARSH NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER.


LOUISVILLE, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 7, 1996--Commonwealth Aluminum Corporation (Nasdaq/NM: CALC (tool, mathematics) Calc - An extensible, advanced desk calculator and mathematical tool written in Emacs Lisp by Dave Gillespie <daveg@synaptics.com>. Calc runs as part of GNU Emacs. ) today announced that it has named Donald L. Marsh, Jr. (49) as the company's new chief financial officer. Marsh replaces W. Peter Day, who resigned last year for personal reasons.

Most recently, Marsh was Senior Vice President - Development for Castle Energy Corporation (Nasdaq/NM:CECX) in Radnor, Pennsylvania Like many of the elite communities of Philadelphia's Main Line, Radnor is a picturesque enclave in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania in Delaware County. Part of Radnor is also in Tredyffrin Township, Pennsylvania in Chester County. , an oil and gas exploration and refining company. Previously, he also served as the company's Chief Financial Officer. In these positions, Marsh was in charge of all finance, treasury and corporate development functions of the company. While there, he also was responsible for a number of significant financial transactions, including an equity offering as well as project and working capital financings. Prior to that, Marsh was a principal with Earned Interest, Inc., an investment banking firm. He began his career with Chemical Bank in New York City New York City: see New York, city.
