SKY-MAP Software Solutions to Power New 3G Wireless Handsets for Chinese Mobile Market

Under this agreement, COMMIT's TD-SCDMA chipsets and hardware reference boards will be pre-integrated with the SKY-MAP(TM) Mobile Applications Software Platform. The resulting complete 3G multimedia handset reference solutions will reduce time and R&D costs for manufacturers as they design and launch devices using China's TD-SCDMA wireless standard.

The SKY-MAP software solution for 3G multimedia phones based on COMMIT's TD-SCDMA chipsets includes the market-tested SKY-MMI providing call management and PIM (1) (Protocol Independent Multicast) A multicast routing protocol endorsed by the IETF. Used in conjunction with an existing unicast routing protocol, it comes in two flavors: Dense Mode (PIM-DM) is used when recipients in the target group are in a concentrated  functions, SMS (1) (Storage Management System) Software used to routinely back up and archive files.
