COMMENTS DUE FOR GASB 34 AMENDMENTS.


GASB GASB - Governmental Accounting Standards Board has released an exposure draft of a proposed standard that would amend certain provisions of GASB Statement No. 34, "Basic Financial Statements and Management's Discussion and Analysis for State and Local Governments." The exposure draft proposes changes that are intended either to clarify provisions or modify them for more consistent application.

Written comments about the proposals in the exposure draft should be submitted by March 16. You can download the exposure draft at GASB's Web site, http://www.gasb.org. Copies also may be obtained by contacting the GASB order department at (800) 748-0659, or via e-mail at gasbpubs@gasb.org.
