WHILE I agree with your recent correspondent who says there is nothing liberal about Liverpool's Lib-Dem administration, with its pettiness and its pounds 1m in parking fines, I would caution against expecting anything more liberal from a New Labour council in May.

If they take their lead from Tony Blair's central government, and they do, consider what we have' bogus bo·gus  
adj.

I only know of one other Blair. That was Eric. He wrote under the name of George Orwell.
