COMININALITTLEHOT STREAKS PAST WILD ZONE FOR VICTORY.

Comininalittlehot, the second choice in the wagering, took the lead in the stretch and drew off for a length victory over Wild Zone to win Sunday's $105,100 Morvich Handicap at the Oak Tree meeting at Santa Anita.

Ridden by Kent Desormeaux, Comininalittlehot covered 6-1/2 furlongs on the turf in a course record 1:11 2/5. The old mark of 1:11 3/5 was set by Bel's Starlet star·let

Sandtrap and Wild Zone controlled the early pace. Sandtrap gave way entering the stretch, but Wild Zone held on to the lead. Comininalittlehot then rallied past Wild Zone in midstretch.

``I had so much horse,'' Desormeaux said. ``The pace was perfect for him. I had the two in front of me going too fast. We were in the middle. It was just perfect, and he ran great.''

Wild Zone returned $6.40 and $5.60, while Wavy Run was another head back in third and paid $5.40.

Ski Dancer, the 8-5 favorite, was fourth in the seven-horse field.

The victory, worth $65,100, increased Comininalittlehot's career earnings to $393,627. He has 10 victories in 36 starts.
