COMING TO ORDER COURT MATTERS TO BE CLOSER TO HOME.

PALMDALE Palmdale, city (1990 pop. 68,842), Los Angeles co., S Calif., in the irrigated Antelope Valley; a growing residential suburb of Los Angeles near Little Rock Creek where it forms Lake Palmdale Reservoir, inc. 1962.  - Hoping to spur downtown development and spare residents long commutes out of the area for trials, Palmdale plans to open its $4.1 million civil courthouse in October October: see month. .

The 18,640-square-foot, four-courtroom building, located at the southwest corner of 9th Street East and Avenue Q-10, will handle civil matters, small claims and family law cases.
