``What the world doesn't know is that Santa has a rebellious teenage daughter,'' Dini said Saturday. ``She's kind of forced to help her dad but she longs for a life away from the North Pole.''

Listening to Dini talk about his work Saturday was proof that he is passionate about his work, which has included collaborations with Steven Spielberg.

He is currently writing for ABC's newest prime time drama hit ``Lost'' and working on at least one movie script.

Atom Freeman, owner of Brave New World, said he relishes the opportunity to spotlight writers like Dini.

``When someone creates a characters that sticks, it's a really big deal,'' Freeman said. ``The Batman series, this Jingle Belle (comic), he's contributed so much to this (industry).''
